As educators, we all understand that many of our students have a short attention span but besides this important fact we also know that they learn faster when the class is presented in the form of playful activities.
That idea was on the basis when the English Department of the ISM school decided to promote "The English Morning". Neither planned to be the perfect morning nor the worst but having in mind the opportunity to provide our young students new ways to cope this important language.
Through songs, dancing, acting and a lot more our students could open wisely to this event. A great chance that nobody wanted to miss out. Through this type of activities children are encouraged to make connections, using English at any moment of the show, to other school subjects and mainly to the world outside the classroom.
Perhaps one the main facts we can conclude is that "The English Morning" also encouraged the activation of prior knowledge, enabling them to develop both colaborative and communicative skills.
Definitely, "The English Morning" offered a wealth of culturally rich content  of high interest for our young teenagers and a valuable tool for teachers to make more accessible the English language to our students´ own daily experiences.
